We are officially a Duck Lick Creek Dealer.  Not familiar with the name?  Well Duck Lick Creek, or DLC, has a model called the Covert 1, which is the same exact thing as the Scoutguard SG550, just with a different name.  We are selling the Covert 1 as a two pack – 2 cameras, 1 remote.  It saves you $20 if you are in the market for two cameras.  Here is a picture, click on the picture to take you to the product info . . .

They also have a model called the Covert 2.  It has the same “guts” as the Scoutguard camera – just a better case design.  The detection width is also wider I believe.  We will have reviews up ASAP for those interested.  Here it is . . .

I was thinking about placing a link to your site on my blog, but your tests are for only commercial trail cameras and I build my own. I have many people ask “what is the best camera to buy” and I always ask them what animals do they want to photograph. It seems to me there is not a really “best camera” but how and what animal do you want to photograph.

You give a great test for people walking in front of the camera, but the results seem to ignore animal behavior. I would enjoy the chance to test any one of your cameras just to see how it works in the real world.

You can check out some of my work on my blog to see how I use my cameras. I belive most cameras set up correctly will work just fine if the picture quality is there at the beginning.

    Cliff,
Hello! Yes we review, test and sell commercial Trail Cameras. We used to build homebrews, but that was several years ago. As far as our tests and reviews are concerned, we just do completely unbiased work to let the reader know what the camera does in a static environment. How and where they set the camera up is completely dependent on their situation. I reviewed your blog – WOW, what a ton of awesome information. You have some really cool photos as well! I’m going to spend a good part of the afternoon combing through your blog. Very interesting and entertaining!

We will be posting any useful information that comes to us, concerning the Trail Camera world, on our blog. It is also a way to let our customers know of new and interesting products, recalls, and/or problems with new models. We would love to have a link from your blog and obviously we would link back to you. The combination of all of our Trail Camera knowledge and experience would really serve consumers well in deciding what type of Trail Camera they would want. As always, I’d love to have your feedback here, or my email is nick@trailcampro.com – also, please feel free to call us at 1-800-791-0660 anytime you like. Thanks!

    -Nick
