I Need Your Help!

How in the world am I supposed to grade the Moultrie Panoramic 150 in the Trail Camera Shootout?  Any idea?  This is so much different than anything else.  Click on the picture below to make it bigger.

Honestly, I think I will just place it in its own category and let everyone decide for themselves.  To me, this is just better than anything else as it is detecting and photographing Rich walking before any other camera even wakes up!

Demo Cameras / Trail Camera Shootout

Posted the 2013 Spring Trail Camera Shootout moments ago.  I’m still working on the links to the full results (will take days/weeks) but you can see the overall results.  Some real shockers at the top for sure.

Here is the current list of demo trail cameras we have. All cameras have been used for either testing or field trials. All demos ship for a flat $10 and come with the manufacturer warranty but NOT our 90 day return policy. All demo camera sales are final. We lose money selling these cameras so cheap but it is a great chance for your to save money on lightly used game cameras.

First come first serve. I can’t hold cameras.

If you find a camera (s) you are interested in, call us at 1-800-791-0660 or you can even email me direct at nick@trailcampro.com.

Revised Review

I end up revising reviews on all our trail cameras about every month or so.  Some more than others as they require more attention.

After releasing our 2013 Bushnell Reviews a couple weeks ago the Bushnell folks wanted and asked for our feedback.  We sent them the cameras we had used for our testing and they completed some of their own testing over the last several weeks.

Their frame of mind was that they had not changed the firmware from 2012 to 2013 so the night photos should have been identical.  They came down here to Springfield, Missouri all day yesterday.  We literally tested and compared cameras from 8 am to 1 am.  If it weren’t for coffee……..

We finished the Spring Trail Camera Shootout yesterday as well as the Flash Range Test.  As for Bushnell, we tested both the 2012 models and the 2013 models side by side.  They were completely right (which means I was completely wrong!) that the night photos in the HD Max had not changed from last year.

I do now believe that I was too generous with the night photo rating for the 2012 HD Max.  It’s night photos from last year should not have rated as high as I marked them.  That is completely and solely my fault.

We obviously take great care and pride in all our game camera reviews.  This is one of the reasons why we are definitely not in a rush to release reviews.  We get emails all the time asking when the reviews on certain cameras will be finished, but each review requires a tremendous amount of raw data combined with ample time in the field for each of the cameras.

I am really, really glad that Bushnell took the time to come down and test every camera we have side by side.  It is obvious that they take great pride in their products and their work.  We always welcome any input from any of the manufacturers and we generally get a ton of feedback anytime a new review is published.  We want to be as up-front and open about our process and our feelings on any product.

Our #1 mission as a business is to provide the consumer with the most accurate and complete information on trail cameras as is possible.   I have tweaked the Bushnell HD Review as well as the Bushnell HD Max Review.

From our findings, Bushnell is releasing a new firmware update (should be live any time now) for the Trophy Cam HD (model 11-9537c).  I have examples of what the new firmware improved on the night pictures in its updated review.  The contrast in the photos GREATLY improved.

Hope I didn’t bore you too much in this long, wordy post.  Don’t worry, I’ll be back to just posting pretty pictures before too long!

Revised Review

If you are looking for a cellular trail camera, then you better read the revised 2013 Covert Special Ops Code Black Review.

We just completed the Spring Trail Camera Shootout this morning and you won’t believe what this camera scored.  Absolutely incredible.  I should have results posted tomorrow?

Anyways, this camera just skyrocketed in our minds.  It has to be considered the best cell camera that we have reviewed.
